Our Culture
At Douglas Stuart we care about the work that we do, how we do it, and who we do it with. Finding great people for our clients means recruiting great people for ourselves. We are working hard at building a company that we want to work for, and anyone who joins us will play a big part in how we evolve. Fundamentally we all hate doing work that we don’t enjoy, which is why we place a premium on a work culture that encourages good habits and great fun.
We strive to grow, as individuals, a team and a business. Growth means learning, by the things we do well, and the mistakes we make. It means encouraging candor alongside encouragement and kindness. If our individuals flourish, our business will grow.
Our business is our people, and the impact and contribution that each of those people make. We support each other as a team, but we take ownership for the things that we do. We congratulate success and we don’t play the blame game. We promote autonomy, but always have time to offer guidance and support when needed.
We are experts in our field, but recognize that nothing is constant, and what worked yesterday, may not be what works today. There is always an alternative way of doing things and a different point of view. Our community is diverse , and so is our approach. We focus on results , not process – the more we can adapt, the more we can accomplish.
